From Airport Sofia to Grand Hotel Sofia

As local organizers, we HIGHLY recommend that you take the Metro from Sofia Airport. This is the fastest, cheapest (1 euro), and safest way to get to the center of Sofia. You will be taking the yellow line, and this will get your straight to station Serdica (can also be spelled Serdika), which is about 8-9 minutes walking distance from the hotel. For a map, click HERE . The previous station, SU Sv. Kliment Ohridski is 15 minutes away. If you decide to take taxi, keep in mind that local taxi drivers at Sofia airport don’t offer set-rate fees for the journey into the city center. Instead, they will calculate your fee based on the distance travelled using a taximeter. The average cost for this journey is €9-10. But sadly, advantage is often taken of those who do not speak Bulgarian. Did we say -- take the METRO :) !.

The most convenient and economical way to get from the Airport to the summer school venues is by Bus Like 64. Click on the picture to the left for a detailed description. From stop Pliska, click HERE to see the route to the hotel (5 min walk, if that). Then click HERE for getting from bus stop ZH.K. Iztok to the summer school venue.
